Going Oldschool with the Wayback's Arcade Illustrated Poster

During my first visit to Wayback's Arcade's new location, I felt an overwhelming rush of nostalgia and inspiration. That experience results from the passion and work of the folks who made Wayback's possible. This motivated me to design a poster that encapsulates that moment of excitement and gift it to this fantastic local venue.

This illustration draws inspiration from a fusion of woodblock printing and neo-traditional aesthetics with its aggressive movement and bold line work. The process began in Adobe Photoshop, sketching the arcade cabinet using bold lines and dynamic forms. The poster gradually took shape, embodying the arcade's spirited environment in this unique art style. Final adjustments were made using Adobe Illustrator to convert the artwork to vector and select a suitable color scheme.

The final product was printed on high-gloss aluminum for display at the arcade. This project was such a joy to work on, and I'm happy to see it live on with the incredible folks at Wayback's Arcade!
